Guided Fishing Trips in the Brainerd Lakes Area

We offer guided fishing trips in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Our boats are "ready" come open water season.  The moment we find open water, our guides are ready to fish and typically this happens on the river, and for us the Rainy River near Baudette, MN is a fabulous place to go get on a walleye or sturgeon "bite".  Once the river season closes (around April 15th), it's "crappie time" and this can be a real fun-filled time for those of all ages.

It's pretty fun to watch the bobber go down and reel in a nice pan fish.  And of course they are good eating fish!  May starts the walleye season and the pike season around this neck of the woods.  Fishermen/women and kids flock to their favorite walleye and pike lakes in search of something that has teeth.  The walleye opener in Minnesota is a very special event, where even the Governor gets involved in the hoopla!

The "opener" is usually the second Saturday in May and it typically lands on the same weekend as Mother's Day.  Our guides enjoy the pursuit of the walleye, but we are not opposed to fishing other species and in fact it makes our life easier when our customer is just happy to get the rod bending.  Bass season follows the walleye and pike seasons by two weeks and our area has both large and smallmouth bass.  Once mid June rolls around, the bass action is usually quite good and this is a great way to get the youngsters a fish that has some "pull" to it.  Musky season is next and it is usually the next weekend after bass, which is usually the first Saturday in June.  The musky is known as the freshwater shark and there are plenty of them within a 40 mile radius of our shop in Nisswa, MN.

We will pick you up at the resort you are staying at, meet you at our shop, the boat landing and everywhere in between!  Our boats are deep and spacious and very comfortable in all conditions.  We provide everything that you will need for the day with exception of a MN fishing license.  We also suggest you bring your camera, sun screen and something to drink and snack on!  If you would like to learn, we are all ears.  This is YOUR fishing trip!
