Dan grew up fishing, hunting and
trapping in Eden Prairie, MN
back when it was still somewhat
the prairie. His dad is an
outdoorsman and taught Dan and
brother John to appreciate the
outdoors. They traveled to
Brainerd, Cross Lake, Grand
Rapids, Ely, Park Rapids and the
Boundary Waters at different
times throughout the summer and
this is where Dan fell in love
with the lake country of central
and northern Minnesota.
Gull
Lake, in the
Brainerd/Nisswa area became
Dan's favorite lake because of
the big walleye's that it
produced year after year.
Dan started his guiding life
in 1989 and has turned his
passion into a business that is
recognized throughout the state
