Tim "Animal" Hanske
was born in Baxter,
MN. He grew up on a
small local lake in
a family that has
always been hardcore
about fishing. Tim's
biggest influence
and teacher has been
his father, who
never was a fishing
guide, but knew how
to catch walleyes in
any situation. When
Tim turned 16, it
was time to fish all
over and all the
time; Tim devoted
every second he had
to being on the
water. The next six
years he spent
summers learning and
fishing for
walleyes, muskies,
and bass.
Tim graduated from
Concordia College in
Moorhead, Mn with
majors in Exercise
Science and Health.
He currently lives
in Baxter, MN with
his wife Karin who
is an elementary
teacher in Pierz, MN
and a server in the
summer at a local
golf course. They
enjoy many outdoor
activities, and
playing with their
dog, Bisou. Tim
spends his free time
fishing, hunting,
and working on
projects.
Animal's favorite
area lakes include:
Gull, Whitefish,
Mille Lacs,
Alexander, and the
Mississippi River.
Tim has enjoyed
guiding full-time
for a number of
years now, and loves
helping people enjoy
the outdoors through
fishing. Tim works
hard to help his
clients enjoy
catching fish and
also enjoy the
"on-water
experience" in the
beautiful Lakes Area
